Time to share our love with Marysville Pilchuck High School today

Our small community took the time today to share our deep sadness and prayers with the Principle of Marysville Pilchuck Highschool Rob Lowry. We appreciated him taking time out of his busy day to meet with us for a short time. Several Baha’is around the country and send their cards of support, some prayer books and roses. It was so little but in the end they all took their place in a sea of appreciations send by so many. We delivered regards including from the friends from Newtown, Conn. who …

Baha’is of Marysville united in prayers for our community

A Baha’i in Marysville is opening her home to a community prayer virgil tonight. There are several prayer vigils in town tonight starting at seven o’clock if anyone wants to come…
Zabine Van Ness offered support if needed to Mayor of Marysville, Jon Nehring, as a member of the Diversity Council appointed by him.

We visited 4 of our Baha’i graves in Marysville today

It was an emotional day filled with appreciation and new dedication. We are always standing on the shoulders of those gone before us. How can we express our love for their dedicated sacrifices and efforts over the many decades gone before us? Their names are Clair T. Kuhnle 1895-1989 Clara Haley 1893-1960 Erma Cox 1899-1995 and Ruth(Hallstrom) Wollman 1913-2003
All but one were born right around the time that Baha’u’llah, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith left us in 1892. We will try and find their families as we are so …

An evening with Fareed Zakaria from CNN “GPS”

Several of us went to Lakeside School to spend an evening with Fareed Zakaria from CNN “GPS”. He truly was a most humble, intelligent, broadly informed author and speaker. He spend all day with the several classes and students.
We were fortunate to be invited to an evening with him and a reception for more personal questions. We all appreciated his most optimistic outlook for this country in years to come. It is a new world we are emerging into. He inspired the children and Youth to follow their passions and …
